Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Lima, a transportation service will transfer you from the airport to your hotel.

Explore Lima´s old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with fascinating historic buildings. Start with a scenic tour in the colonial downtown, which radiates from the Main Square visiting the Cathedral and Casa Aliaga. Continue to the Larco Museum, which is housed in a beautifully restored viceregal mansion. Finally, head to the "Love Park" in the scenic coastal district of Miraflores, where you can admire the cliffs and a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.

You will be transferred from Lima to Paracas by bus. You will arrive at the airport of Pisco for a flight of 1 hour and 30 minutes in a plane over the desert to observe the mysterious Nasca Lines, conformed by figures that form a monkey, a spider, a condor and more. If weather conditions permit, the recent findings in Palpa will be overflown. When finished, you will be taken to the hotel in Paracas, where you will have lunch.

A mobility will take you to the Chaco station; Point of embarkation for the boat trip to the Ballestas Islands; natural reserve of beautiful geological formations, impressive animal fauna and lags of pre Inca cultures. The Ballestas Islands are inhabited by endemic birds, pelicans, sea lions, Humboldt penguins and other species that find a refuge in the archipelago. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to the bus station to return to the city of Lima.

Go on a comfortable ride from your hotel to the airport of Lima to take a flight to Arequipa. At arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. Your journey will start at the Plaza de Armas, next to the magnificent Arequipa´s Cathedral built during the XVII century. Visit to Santa Catalina Monastery, and the ´Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús´ (1590). To end the day, visit the districts of Yanahuara and Carmen Alto, to have a panoramic view of Arequipa´s countryside.

Depart Arequipa, driving through Yura district en route to the Colca Valley. Lunch will be served in the picturesque town of Chivay with transfer in the afternoon to your selected hotel in the Colca Valley. Rest of the day free at leisure or you may visit the local hot springs.

Take a deep breath and appreciate the vastness of the Colca Valley, which is one of the world's deepest canyons with a maximum depth of 4,160 meters. The thrill of the experience is enhanced by the natural spectacle of huge condors flying over the canyon. Descend to the valley floor to discover some of the rustic towns.

A boat will take you to the floating islands of Uros, an ancient society that populates a series of artificial islands built on the basis of cattail plant which grows in the lake. You will continue your trip to the island of Taquile. The Island was part of the Inca Empire and vestiges of that culture can still be seen in its buildings.

Travel through the jaw-dropping landscapes of the highland plateau. Stop en route at the town of Andahuaylillas, at Raqchi to admire its archeological and Pukara where the Lithic Museum is located. Upon arrival in Puno, a transportation service and a representative will take you from the bus station to the hotel in the city.

The city tour starts at Coricancha, built by Inca Pachacutec and at the arrival of the Spaniards became the basis for the construction of the Santo Domingo Convent. You will continue your tour to the city´s Main Square where you will see its architecture and the imposing Cathedral. You will continue to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the archeological site of Quenqo and PukaPucara which means "Red Fortress".

You will head to Awanakancha (¨The Palace of Textiles¨), exhibition center of textiles and South American camelids. You will continue your tour at the Pisac market. Continue to the Pisac archaeological site, a masterpiece of the agriculture of the Inca Empire. You will have lunch and then visit Ollantaytambo, making a series of stops at points of interest. Finally, you will head to your hotel in Sacred Valley.

Your tour to Machu Picchu begins with a train ride to Aguas Calientes, the last stop before entering the remains of the most important archaeological site in Peru. After a short transfer by bus you will reach the lost city of the Incas: Machu Picchu. Return to Aguas Calientes for lunch at Café Inkaterra. Then, you will begin your return to Cusco.
